Life InsuranceAnswers

About

Who writes this, and how we make money

Life Insurance Answers exists because most life insurance pages answer a sales question instead of the one you typed. We write the second kind.

What this site is

An independent, ad-free education site about U.S. life insurance: how much coverage costs, how much you need, how underwriting works, and what the difference between policy types actually means in dollars.

It is not an insurer, an agency, or a broker. We do not sell policies, quote premiums, or make recommendations about a specific product for your situation.

How the guidance is built

Primary sources first

Company filings and newsroom releases, rating agency reports, LIMRA and Life Happens research, NAIC consumer guidance and state insurance department publications.

Numbers with dates attached

Every rate table and company figure carries the year and source it came from, because a 2022 premium table is actively misleading in 2026.

Reviewed, then corrected in public

Pages are reviewed at least annually and whenever a material figure changes. Corrections are made on the page, not quietly deleted.

No invented authority

We do not publish fake author bios, fake testimonials or fake star ratings. Where we do not know something, the page says so.

How we are paid

When you request a quote through a link on this site, we may receive a commission from the advertiser. That is the entire business model. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change your premium.

What that means for you, honestly: we have a financial interest in you clicking. We manage that by keeping the educational content useful whether you click or not — the calculator collects nothing, and no page requires an email address to read.

What we will not do: sell your data, run a lead-generation form of our own, publish invented reviews, claim to be an official company site, or tell you a product is right for you without knowing your situation.

Editorial independence

Commercial relationships do not determine what the guides say. Our cost pages include figures that make insurance look cheap and figures that make it look expensive, because both are true at different ages. Our company profile lists the drawbacks of an agent-led process alongside the ratings.

Corrections

If a figure here is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Email contact@lifeinsuranceanswers.xyz with the page and the detail. We aim to respond within two business days.

Contact

General enquiries, corrections and press: contact@lifeinsuranceanswers.xyz. See the contact page for what we can and cannot help with.
